Is there a way to auto launch a VPN session in Vista?

I am running Vista Ultimate, and need to run my VPN connection for work emails. Windows XP had a way to launch the VPN connection when logging on to the OS. I don't see that option in Vista, and am unable to find anything about it in the help files. I would like the VPN connection to start when I log on to the OS. Any guidance would be appreciated.|||as you may know startup programs are still in Vista.

make a shortcut for your VPN connection (drag it to your desktop)

then drag the shortcut to your startup programs. in theory that should work!

otherwise its an 'admin tools' %26gt; 'task scheduler' jobby.|||You can setup your EMAIL connection to connect using the VPN. Just open your email program, click on the TOOLS. OPTIONS tab and set the Connection to Add the VPN. Then on opening the program the VPN is used!

You actually can set what connection, is used for any internet program. Just tell the machine to use the VPN for ALL connections if you like. That way any internet activity or network activity will launch the VPN|||Does it run as a service? Don't you need to enter some pass key to log into the VPN? Can you simply place the icon in the start up folder?
