Hello, I have a xp desktop and the only way i can think to connect to my vista laptop which is not with me is through VPN but unfortunately it has to be xp to xp. Does anyone know a way where i can connect from xp to vista. Thanks.|||Why wouldn't you use remote desktop?|||......
vpn is a virtual private network.
you can vpn from xp to 98 hell if you wanted to. as long it supports it.
you will need a router and port foward the port #s for vpn to your internal ip address. vista you will have to set up vpn connection for "incoming" connections to allow them. im sure you can go to www.google.com and just google setup vpn for vista........it will tell u
